Taking A Holistic Approach To Data Strategy

 ðŸŒŸ When it comes to Data Strategy, I've always found that a holistic approach is key. 

Always start with the WHY, at a holistic, organisational level. Not just restricted to localised, tactical problems. Aligned to the organisation’s strategic objectives and target outcomes.

Then, success depends on aligning people, processes, and technology to deliver joined-up solutions, which meet business needs and are fully adopted, to maximise the value of data.

Any one of these things, on their own, won’t work. Data is created and used by People, as part of the delivery of Processes, using Technology. 

A Data Strategy itself can take various forms, depending on the organisation’s need – but thinking about it holistically, will lead to more impactful and effective outcomes.
